Night Shift is a brand new Coffee Stout, which we’ve brewed in collaboration with the crew from Coffee Supreme and the Brisbane legends- Craft Wine Store. This is a stout of many firsts. It’s the first stout we’ve brewed at such a sessionable ABV, and also the first coffee stout we’ve brewed using this method. After a cupping session and a few team chats, we landed on using Supreme’s South Blend for its ultra smooth body and malty, caramel characteristics. Whole beans were then steeped in the tank post fermentation. The colour pours a beautiful deep black, with a rich golden foam. The aromas wafting out are freshly brewed coffee (duh), medium roast and dark choccy. On the palate all of that comes to fruition with each sip blurring the lines between coffee and beer. Notes of fresh black filter coffee, medium roasted bitterness and just the lightest touch of dark choc Maltesers to finish things off and ease you off the Night Shift. - Range
