From time to time, we get the chance to work with exceptional fruit from outside the Yarra Valley GI. In 2024, we partnered with long-time friends and growers Sarah Gough and Cal Randall to source Grenache from their mineral-driven vineyard in Nagambie Lakes. With a shared focus on thoughtful farming and crafting wines with a true sense of place, we approached this gently —handpicked fruit, a soft touch in the cellar, and plenty of time to let the wine find its own rhythm.

Bright red fruits lead the charge: wild strawberry, blood plum and a flicker of redcurrant. There’s a savoury edge too — hints of dried herbs, amaro spice and dusty earth. Silky tannins and a juicy line of acidity keep things fresh and flowing. An expressive, sun-kissed red with just the right amount of crunch.
